Carl King, a resident of Sequim, is set to face trial in Clallam County Superior Court on February 22, 2027, in connection with multiple charges involving child sexual abuse material.
A court order issued on August 28 by Judge Elizabeth Stanley outlines the trial schedule, which includes a four-day proceeding beginning at 9:00 a.m. A pretrial status and omnibus hearing is also scheduled for January 8, 2027, at 1:00 p.m.
Earlier reporting indicated that King was taken into custody in April following an investigation that uncovered five criminal charges: four counts of possessing images or videos of minors in sexually explicit situations and one count concerning the alteration or destruction of physical evidence.
King appeared at the August 28 hearing and remained out of custody at that time. During that session, Judge Stanley formally established the February 2027 trial date.
